The SL1600 is a very easy two way radio to use and takes no time to get used to. Staff will love how it works. For example there's a dedicated button for the on and off of the radio, the push to talk is so easy to find and use, and the channel switch even allows operators of the SL1600 to scroll fast forward or backwards at 10 channels at a time!
Of course, one thing that is less obvious is the ultra technology used in this two-way radio handset. The display is designed and tested to be shatterproof for example, As far as the transmission and reception though, the SL1600 uses a Motorola development called 'Range MAX' technology. In essence this utilises an advanced radio design internally and a custom amtenna that can transmit further without using extra battery power or being in breach of regulations.
