Double The Channels
Entel's DX400 series uses a system where channels are 'split' in to two - thus doubling the available channels at any time. If you use one channel in Analogue mode then that equates to dual channels in digital mode. The license free DMR446 provides 16 digital channels and eight analogue ones.
Both Tier 1 (license free) and Tier 2 (Licensed) offer some different features of course, and the advanced models (noted on the pricing below) offers things like an OLED screen for simpler operation. And using the advanced models of this series allows more benefits such as menus and extensive contact lists. You can use groups far more effectively, and if there are emergency calls the user ID is shown on screen; There are also user free form text messaging between handsets - as well as preformatted texts also.
There is an app available that allows the radios to be easily programmed and its simple to transfer programming from one handset to the other. And lastly the DX400 series is future proofed with updates available that offer new features as they become available.
